Musical Day

Geez, today's been a long day. But it was a good one, though, and it seemed to revolve around music or anything to do with music for that matter.

Well, after my uni classes ended at 11am today, me and my mom hopped onto the LRT at Kelana Jaya so I could go meet MC from Warner Music at their office at Jalan P. Ramlee at 2pm. I'm meeting these Warner peeps to help them come out with some (hopefully) fresh ideas for tv commercials for a couple of compilation albums they're releasing. I got there by two, but MC was a little late, but it was alright, met her at about 2:20pm.

So yeah, I met MC, and then met the head honcho for the office's international music department, Kim. Kim's pretty rad, she offered me her Burger King fries and even gave me Simple Plan's No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls CD when I told her I was too broke to buy any CDs I liked. Oh yeah MC gave me a whole bunch of Linkin Park, Green Day, and Shifty stuff too, and that too was pretty rad. Oh yeah, anyways, if Kim likes the storyline and accompanying storyboard for my first trial assesment assignment, and if she chooses to shoot my concept, I'd get a commision from that commercial. Now isn't that good shit or what?! I'll tell you guys what'll happen when it happens, okay?

So yeah, after the Warner meet ended at about 5pm, I met up again with my mom -who was hanging out with a friend at The Weld- and we both took the monorail to Starhill to chill out a bit at McDonald's. Albert said he was on the way to meet me and give me the music store tour once again. I needed really badly to buy strings for my electric guitar, which I broke like a month ago or something, and I was pretty bummed to find that Ernie Ball's Super Slinky strings were something of a rarity nowadays, and pretty hard to find in places outside KL. So yeah, Albert came and we went to Bentley first. After checking out the fine amps, combo amps, guitars, and hell, everything else in Bentley, I bought myself a spiffy new plectrum, a tuning head winder, and 2 packets of Super Slinkies, all for RM40. There goes my dosh for getting myself Hoobastank's The Reason album, and I think it'll take eternity for me to save up for a good pair of headphones for some plugged in guitar-work on the amp, rendering myself neighbour-disturbing-less.

Oh well, after checking out Yamaha in KL Plaza, Tower Records in Lot 10, and finding out that Music Exhange, Do Re Mi, and everything else closed, both of us started heading back, only to bump into two of Albert's friends. Maybe you should check out his blog about more on that, hahah...

So yeah, my mom was already waiting to go home when I almost reached the Bukit Bintang Monorail station, and so we went home... and I shall be re-stringing my guitar in a jiffy!
