Poly Ticks *scratch*

Politics seem to be a hot topic these days. No matter what country you are from, national politics is beginning to be a topic of debate for most.

To borrow a quote from the infamous Anal-Lecturer-Lady, "Everything is about politics!"

Now being a pampered brat in a (seemingly) secure nation, I haven't been giving a rat's ass to this issue. I have never really paid attention to the daily news or what's in the newspaper on the local and international front. I know that's incredibly sad and ironic, since i am studying for a BA degree on Mass Communication & Multimedia, and I'm supposed to know these things.

On topics of concern, so far I know Indonesia's about Megawati, Britain's got a citizen held hostage in Iraq by "The Executioner" Al-Zarqawi, Malaysia's got UMNO 2004 GM, bird flu, and uh, Bangsar's crippling to worry about, the US's got the Bush vs. Kerry hype, Australia's got some terrorist attacks, and other countries have stuff like floods and some of their citizens getting kidnapped and killed by terrorists/freedom fighters in Iraq. Hey, I'm trying to be as politically correct here as I could.

It's probably important to know your nation's politics, so citizens are well-informed enough to make an educated vote for a leader, and make important decisions that would ultimately affect themselves.

Anyways, I've decided to be more informed politically from now on, thanks to Dan Berman's online debates about past and current American presidents and how good/bad they were, in the light of the Bush vs Kerry presidential election, and also other political topics he likes to bring up. God, that guy knows his shit, and man is he a fierce debater.

Very inspiring.

Thought: Why is Dan Berman (Hoobastank webmaster) always confused with Dan Estrin (Hoobastank guitarist)?

p/s: Yes, I drew that pic.
