Creepy Old Ladies & Falling Into Floors
Sorry about the 24-hour delay on my post on old ladies (not that a lot of you would've noticed anyway!) but explanations and a slight change of topic will follow.
Two days ago I pleasantly stumbled into the Fortean Times website, which is a magazine about strange phenomena and weird stuff which I am a total sucker for. Checking out its forums, a particular thread about creepy old ladies piqued my interest, and that night I had decided to write about it, but decided to blog it out the next day [yesterday] as my nocturnal internet runs were scheduled to end as sunrise was about to bloom in an hour. In short, I went to sleep.
Granted that it had been sometime since mentally involving myself in paranormal literature, my mind somehow took the cue and subsequently gave me a ghostie dream that night. Surprisingly this time I talked back at the loudly whispering disembodied entity, but nonetheless I was still a tad freaked out when I woke up in the morning.
I decided to drop the 'creepy old lady' topic, as past experiences and knowledge on the weird stuff starts flooding back in my mind. My mother and I are really huge into the study of extraterrestrials, and paranormal cases. Our home is filled with all sorts of literature on these topics ranging from case report books to theories. Don't know if it's called a hobby though. Anyway, the thing is, some... weird stuff happens when I indulge in reading this topic. Things appear where they're not suppose to, etc. Just my imagination? I had hoped so, but not really. My mother has noticed some odd things sometimes. One reason I have is that our senses are more aware when we are reminded of them, and they are attracted to these sort of energies.
Anyhoo, I was trying to avoid continue reading more forums on this online, but my curiousity got the best of me and I ended up too chicken to go to sleep and waited till the sun rose up before I did. Good thing Gao was online and we discussed about ouija boards, orbs, horoscopes, and stuff like that, heh.
Oh hey, anyone ever had the feeling of falling while you're lying down (not sleeping) and you'd get up with a jolt? I hear quite a lot of people have experienced it. I used to have that a lot when I was younger, usually when I'm lying on the bed/floor just relaxing. Suddenly it would feel like there's nothing beneath you but darkness and you're falling off the edge into black space. Anyone has an idea what the hell those were? Do you notice that it happens if a window is nearby, like beside or above you? The Chinese say that if you get that feeling, it's because a spirit happened to step onto you while trying to move out through the window.
