Happenings of the week

The past week has been a pain.

Authorization for the post-mortem project didn't clear, so we couldn't shoot the documentary over the weekend even though we managed to secure all the proper shooting equipment needed. As for the bodyguard project, my fellow groupmate (now referred to as 'Mr. MIA') who dissapeared had resurfaced somewhere in the middle of the week to tell us that the shoot with the bodyguard is not possible anymore. Reason that he didn't inform us earlier and 'dissapeared': He ran out of phone credit. Geez.

So, we shot at the Sepang F1 Circuit two days ago. Apparently, Mr. MIA managed to secure an interview with a MotorGP racer through a friend. But, through all the madness, we only managed a one-question interview! Our topic had suddenly changed from a biography on a racer to the sport of MotorGP racing itself. Rushed impromtu shoots is never a good thing. Anyway, I did the rough editing yesterday on the university's Final Cut Pro program. We agreed to meet up in uni to edit at 10am. But, *surprise surprise*, Mr. MIA only showed up with the DV tapes at 2:45pm. Anyway, the assignment was due today, but Mr. MIA who brought the rough-edited work back home didn't complete editing it. ARgH!

Okay, I'm done griping now.

Yeah, other than that, I've been trying hard to put stuff aside to spend some quality time with my Dad, who came back down from Vietnam last week. This will be the last time that I would be seeing my Dad before he flies back to Vietnam again this Thursday. It could be after my graduation before I will be seeing him again. However, my Dad said that he might make a quick trip down to Malaysia to see me off to Australia. My family is also planning to come to Perth this Christmas to spend time with me, so I hope those plans come true.

University has become a bore and a chore to me, and I'm surprised I've lasted this long. I thought I would've burnt out earlier in the semester. I have started to selectively skip classes to allow myself more time to rest and work on all my assignments. I've also been working on a few ambitious personal projects, but I would not elaborate further on it at this moment.

Life has just made a 360 degree flip, but I saw it coming.
